From graphic crop tops to statement socks, here’s how Latinas can make a fashion statement on Election Day.
The 2024 United States elections are here. On Tuesday, November 5, voters will decide the next president. Whether it’s Vice President Kamala Harris or former President Donald Trump, getting to the ballots and making your vote count is crucial. If it’s not for yourself, it’s for your future children, family, and ancestors. Your Latino community depends on your voice!
We get it—voting can feel complicated, especially with so much at stake. But after doing your research and understanding what works best for you, it’s time to think about your Election Day outfit (OOTD) and glam. Why not make a day of it, right?
From graphic tees to nail art and more, here’s how to make a fashion statement on Election Day—because if there’s one thing we Latinas do, it’s go big on any occasion.
Nothing makes a bolder statement than a graphic crop top with a message like “Vote.” Take it up a notch by adding a chic blazer and pairing it with jeans and sneakers. Try swapping the jeans for a pencil skirt and adding a slight heel for a more formal look.
For the sock lovers out there, make a statement with socks that speak for themselves! Pair them with your favorite boots or sneakers to add a unique twist. Personally, I’d style mine with Dr. Martens.
There’s no shortage of nail art inspiration online. For those who want to keep it simple, a white base with the word “Vote” might be the way to go.
For those looking for more outfit ideas, we’ve got you covered! Outfits in red, white, and blue are always a classic choice. One TikTok user nails a navy blue look with a striped blue-and-white shirt underneath and thick red glasses for a pop of color. She offers other color options, giving off a casual yet chic vibe.
Another TikTok user takes a simpler approach, wearing jeans, a blue sleeveless button-up, and red shoes paired with a small red crossbody bag that ties it all together.
But don’t overthink it—whatever you wear, just make sure to get out and vote if you can!
