Top 5 Latina-Owned Beauty Products to Buy During Hispanic Heritage Month

By: Jeanette Hernandez

National Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 to October 15) is well underway! While we champion Latinos every day at Brilla Latina, this month is the perfect opportunity to spotlight creatives who deserve even more attention. Shall we?

Do you ever wonder what’s Latina-owned when you’re shopping online or in person? Or perhaps while you’re applying makeup or following your regular skincare routine, have you ever paused to think about where the product comes from?

A few years ago, I started considering different ways to support my community beyond my writing. One of the most obvious ways was to shop more Latina-owned products—specifically making them my beauty staples. This way, whenever I need to restock, I’m directly supporting my favorite Latino-owned brands rather than spending my money on a brand that lacks a personal connection.

With that in mind, here are five Latina-owned beauty products to shop for during this wonderful month and beyond. After all, we’re always trying new beauty products, so why not support our communities while we’re at it?

Eva’s Garden Skincare

Founded by Dominicana Eviel Taveras, Eva’s Garden Skincare offers a variety of skincare items. Described as “a sensorial skincare experience powered by nature,” featured items include cleansers, toners, exfoliants, serums, treatments, moisturizers, and more.
