Peso Pluma Unveils New Look to Promote Upcoming Album

By: Sandra Ortiz

Peso Pluma has surprised his followers on social media with a new look while promoting his upcoming album, Éxodo, which will be released on digital platforms on June 20th.

A few hours ago, social media buzzed when the corridos tumbados singer shared a video on his Instagram stories, revealing a short haircut without his signature mullet.

“Plebada, we are almost there, just a few days away from the release of Éxodo, the new album. So go and pre-save it on Spotify,” the “Ella Baila Sola” singer announced. The video, which lasts only a few seconds, shows him shirtless in front of a mirror, with a text overlay including a link to the tracklist of his new album.

The tracklist preview reveals 24 songs, seven of which have already been released. Some singles, such as “Bellakeo,” a collaboration with singer Anitta, and “La People II,” featuring Tito Double P and Joel De La P, have already topped the popularity charts.

Among the unreleased tracks, but expected to become hits due to their collaborations, are “Put Em In The Fridge,” featuring Cardi B; “Vino Tinto,” in collaboration with Natanael Cano and Gabito Ballesteros; and “Tommy y Pamela,” featuring Kenia OS. This mix of genres has the potential to dominate the charts once again.

Peso Pluma’s New Look

Peso Pluma’s look has been one of the most imitated, by young and old alike, since the song “Ella Baila Sola” became a global hit thanks to platforms like TikTok and Instagram. His iconic mullet, an asymmetrical 80s haircut with longer hair in the back, gave him considerable popularity due to the mixed reactions it provoked.

This is why the recently shared video has become a trending topic among his followers, as it is the first time the singer has been seen without his characteristic mullet. It should be noted that the Instagram story does not fully reveal his new haircut, leaving it unclear whether it is a temporary change, a marketing strategy to promote his new album or a new phase in the artist’s image.

A few weeks ago, the singer revealed during an interview on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon that his famous haircut was actually a mistake by his stylist. “I realized they were cutting it wrong, but when I saw myself in the mirror, I thought it didn’t look too bad,” he confessed, addressing a topic that had generated much curiosity among his fans.

With his new look and the upcoming release of Éxodo, Peso Pluma continues to demonstrate his ability to reinvent himself and surprise his followers. His aesthetic and musical evolution generates anticipation and reaffirms his position as one of the most influential artists in Latin music.
