With Halloween just around the corner, it’s hard to think of anything else. Here at Brilla Latina, we’re already planning our Halloween makeup looks, and today, we’re bringing you tips on spooky, Halloween-inspired snacks.

These days, Halloween can be celebrated in many different ways. From classic costumes to watching spooky films in a graveyard (yes, that’s a thing in Los Angeles!), Halloween lovers are finding creative ways to make this season unforgettable. But what about adding a Hallow’s Eve twist to Latino treats?

Since the happiest night of the year is approaching, let’s explore five savory and sweet dishes that will be perfect for serving your loved ones next week!

Halloween Tacos

Take your Halloween party to the next level by decorating your homemade tortillas with bats and pumpkins. Add blue food coloring to your dough for bat shapes and orange for pumpkins, and voilà! A spooky-themed taco is ready to be served with your favorite meats or meat alternatives.

Want to up the ante? Use chorizo to give the filling a red tint for a “bloody” effect. For an even darker vibe, make the tortillas a deep shade of blue for black-and-red tacos!

Candy Corn Street Corn

This idea looks as tasty as it does festive! Add orange food coloring to your queso cotija, and your street corn will transform into giant candy corn. For the finishing touch, crush Cheetos’ Mexican Street Corn chips to create the yellow layer of the candy corn effect.

Mummy Choco-Bananas

Who said bananas are bland? By adding a chocolate coating, you can turn them into an easy dessert. But since it’s Halloween, let’s make them spooky! Mummify the choco-banana with a thin layer of white frosting, and don’t forget to add googly eyes as the final touch!

Ghost Green Chilaquiles

Why not make your chilaquiles Halloween-ready? Use a ghost-shaped cutter to give your chilaquiles a festive twist! And yes, you can make them red too!

Green Arroz con Leche

Take your arroz con leche to a whole new level! Add green food coloring and googly eyes to create a spooky version of this classic dessert.

No matter how you celebrate, these spooky Latino treats will add a fun and delicious twist to your Halloween festivities.
