¡Dios Mio! The New Bilingual Card Game That Will Make You Obsessed

By: Jeanette Hernandez

¡Dios Mio! – the bilingual comedy card game specially made for Latinos – is coming to a store near you!

Who’s ready to spice up their game night? The Cards Against Humanity-style game ¡Dios Mio! is hitting your local Walmart. This entertaining card game – perfect for our Latin family and friends get-togethers – will be available in Walmart stores starting on August 17.

For those who aren’t familiar with the Latin card game, it’s described as a “fully bilingual comedy card game for Latinos, Latinas, and Latinx’s también.” It’s designed to “mix and match question and answer cards and gain points for the funniest, most surreal combinations not even Walter Mercado could predict.”

Like Cards Against Humanity, players draw a Question Card, while the other players get an Answer Card. Whoever plays the most entertaining, funniest, or controversial card gets to keep it. The first player to collect seven cards is the winner. The game comes with 275 English and Spanish cards and is meant for ages 14 and up. Another notable element is that the game is made with recyclable material.

However, there’s more to the game beyond its standard version. ¡Dios Mio! also has extended packets you can add to the mix. To make your experience more personal, you can purchase bundles like the Cuba Bundle, Mexico Bundle, and Puerto Rico Bundle on their official website.

The card game was founded by Fitz Games and was created in 2019. Fitz Games’ team members are proud to be from diverse backgrounds. “All our games are written for communities by communities. Our nationwide and international team of writers have come together to make games that speak to the authentic community experience,” their official website states.

So, who’s ready to prepare some micheladas (or mocktails) and get competitive and witty with a game of ¡Dios Mio!? I know we are!
