"DORA," the animated reboot produced by Nickelodeon Animation in 2023, is confirmed for a second season, as announced by the production representatives. So, chicas, we can rest assured that our favorite Latina heroine will continue to be a significant cultural icon for future generations.

“Our audiences have warmly embraced the new DORA series, and it's remarkable how she continues to captivate preschoolers worldwide with her extraordinary rainforest adventures,” said Ramsey Naito, President of Paramount Animation and Nickelodeon Animation, via a press release.

Among the talented individuals involved in this new rendition are Diana Zermeño, the voice of Dora, Asher Colton Spence as Boots, Anairis Quiñones portraying the faithful companion Map, and Kathleen Herles, the New Yorker of Peruvian descent who voices Mami, among other great talents.

It's worth noting that this new version introduces new songs, including the opening theme, boasts vibrant visuals, and features 3D animations, making it more competitive in the market.

Furthermore, unlike the original version released in 2000, this format includes some character changes. For instance, the famous Map has been reinvented with a female voice, while the clothing and accessories of the main characters have also been slightly modernized.

“It's an incredible opportunity to introduce this beloved character and iconic franchise to a whole new generation,” expressed Jeff Grossman, Executive Vice President of Programming at Paramount+, in the same statement.

This new animated series, comprising 14 episodes in its first season, can be streamed via Paramount+ in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Australia, Latin America, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, and Austria, as well as on Nick Jr. internationally.

Now that you know where to catch this new production, don't miss the chance to enjoy it with your little ones at home. They're sure to be delighted to see a bilingual show featuring characters just like them.
